This Privacy Policy explains how Party Arcade ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our website and games (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Party Arcade is designed to be played without creating an account. We keep the information we collect to a minimum:

Gameplay information you provide. When you host or join a game, we process the room code, the display name you choose, an avatar selection, and your in-game scores. Display names are chosen by you and are not required to be your real name.
Local device storage. We store small pieces of data in your browser (such as a temporary token that keeps you connected to your room and your sound/voice preferences). This stays on your device.
Usage and technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers may process basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and general, anonymized usage statistics to keep the Service running and improve it.

We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not require names, email addresses, or passwords to play.

How we use information

To run live game sessions and sync gameplay between the host screen and players' phones.
To keep you connected to your current room and remember your preferences on your device.
To understand aggregate usage so we can fix problems and improve the games.
To display advertising that helps keep the Service free (see below).

We may use cookies and similar technologies, and we may display advertising provided by third-party advertising networks, which themselves use cookies and similar technologies.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Service — for example, cloud hosting, a realtime database used to run game sessions, and analytics and advertising partners. Data retention

Game session data such as room codes, display names, and scores is temporary and is intended to exist only for the life of a game session. Rooms and their data are removed once they are no longer active.

Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Your choices

You can clear your browser's cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
You can opt out of personalized advertising using the links in the advertising section above.
You can choose any display name you like — it does not need to identify you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
